A cycling and rafting holiday for all. Cycle down the Brenta Cycleway through Bassano del Grappa and Levico Terme. Taste the local delicacies and test yourself with a soft rafting activity.

Cycle down the Brenta, discovering towns and hamlets full of surprises, including the Bassano historic town center and its Ponte Vecchio. Admire Marostica, its chess square, and its local products, such as the white asparagus, strawberries, and cherries. Accompanied by an expert guide, you will never forget the rafting experience down the rapids.

PROGRAM

Sunday: after some welcome drinks in the SPORTACTIVE SPA, our guide will present the holiday itinerary. We will get dinner at Sant’Eusebio restaurant before heading to bed to prepare for our big day Tomorrow.
Monday: we take a nice walk down the Brenta river to discover Bassano del Grappa. We reach Ponte Vecchio, where we have a typical Nardini “mezo e mezo” aperitivo. We then proceed towards the town’s squares, where we can visit Palazzo Sturm: along with its permanent exhibition dedicated to typography and calcography, we can also admire a temporary exhibition dedicated to Albrecht Durer. Later on, we can have a small wine and local food tasting. In the afternoon, we visit the rest of the town and for those who desire so, a relaxing break in the wellness center. Dinner with local food tasting.
Tuesday: Following breakfast, we head to the train station to get to Levico. We will find our bikes outside of the station, right where the Brenta cycleway begins, connecting Caldonazzo Lake to Bassano: true cycling and natural heaven. The Brenta River is a perfectly flat path that allows everyone to enjoy sports and contact with nature. Tonight we have a vertical tasting “Pasta&Pizza” at Sant’Eusebio restaurant. Distance: 70 km
Wednesday: Another day on our bikes to discover Marostica, the town of cherries and chess. We are greeted by the famous square where the rehashing of the historical 1454 chess game takes place. We go around churches and medieval alleyways to Castello Superiore, where we can admire the view. After leaving Marostica, we head to Schiavon, where we visit the Poli distillery: here we can discover how grappa is made, along with tasting some liquors. Did you know that the distillery is where filming took place for the RAI tv series “Di Padre in figlia”? We will rehash the scenes of Alessio Boni, Stefania Rocca, Cristiana Capotondi, and Francesca Cavallin! To conclude our visit, we take a fun picture in front of the alembic. Back at the hotel, we have dinner together. Distance: 50 km
Thursday: Today we can rest a bit. The bikes are always available for an excursion in Bassano. For those who wish to go further, Vicenza is close by, with its Basilica Palladiana, the Olympic Theater, and Villa Capra, or Padua, with Prato della Valle and the Giotto-painted Cappella Degli Scrovegni. Venice is also one hour away via train. We also recommend the Bike and Activity SPA inside the hotel. Free night and dinner.
Friday: After breakfast, the holiday concludes with a rafting day. This fun and for-all activity will take us on board a dinghy down the rapids of the Brenta. The difficulty of the river is intermediate-easy. This activity is suitable also for those who do not know how to swim. Back at the hotel, we have our last dinner together.
Saturday: we leave after breakfast, taking with us an unforgettable experience: see you next time!
